About the firm

Built by operators. For founders building the future.

Ember Ridge Capital was founded in 2018 on a simple idea: the best investors are the ones who've sat in the founder's chair. We back ambitious technical founders with first checks, long horizons, and deep operational support.

Mission

Why we exist.

To partner with the founders building the companies that will define the next century of technology — and to be the most useful investor on their cap table.

We believe enduring companies are built by founders with deep conviction in a non-obvious truth. Our role is to identify those founders early, write the first check, and stay close for the entire arc.

We invest concentrated portfolios. We earn our place on the cap table through the work, not the brand. And we measure ourselves against one thing: did the companies we backed compound?

Values

What we believe.

Founder first

We work for the founder. Our job is to make the company we invested in succeed — not to be right.

Conviction over consensus

We lead. We back outliers when the consensus is loud and wrong. We commit early and stay through cycles.

Operate, don't observe

We get into the work. Product reviews, recruiting, GTM, fundraising. We do whatever moves the company forward.

Long arcs

Great companies take a decade. We hold positions for that long, and our LP base is built for it.
